Sung Woo (Jason) Ahn

Sung Woo (Jason) Ahn is an analyst with BRV Korea focused on internet, gaming, and entertainment opportunities.

Jason was most recently at Unitry Holding as a director of IT solutions managing e-payment, e-ticketing, and online game business in Thailand.

Prior to Unitry, Jason worked as an auditor at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers where he also actively involved in corporate restructuring and M&A with a focus on leading online game companies in Korea.

Prior to Samil PwC, Jason was a main game designer at NC Soft where he was responsible for MMORPG and social network games. He also worked at Maritel as an operator and designer of Archmage, a pioneering web game launched in the U.S.

Jason currently holds KICPA and graduated from Seoul National University.

Gang (Mike) Ding

Gang (Mike) Ding is Investment Director with BlueRun China. He joined the firm in 2007 and is based in Shanghai. Mike focuses on new media, wireless and consumer services investments in China. Mike Ding brings to BlueRun more than 10 years of experience in venture investing and starting up new businesses.

Mike serves on the Board of Directors of Goldeneye Interactive and Inker.

Prior to joining BlueRun China, Mike launched Widsets, a mobile internet service in China. He also served as Senior Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for developing new venture projects in China. Mike has also held the positions of Vice President of iD Tech Ventures and Managing Director of iPark Shanghai, and previously served as an investment manager at Intel Capital, China, and software engineer with Hewlett Packard in the U.S. and Singapore.

He received his M.B.A. from China Europe International Business School and M.S. from Shanghai JiaoTong University.



Jung-Joon (J.J.) Hwang

Jung-Joon (J.J.) Hwang is Investment Director with BRV Korea. He joined the firm in 2005 and is based in Seoul.

J.J. actively works with Corea Titanium and HI-DIS.

J.J. brings extensive experience in venture capital investment in Korea, having served as an investment professional at both local and global venture capital/private equity firms (KTB and CDIB). Prior to joining the VC community, J.J. worked in the R&D division of LG-EDS, a leading IT firm in Korea.

J.J. received his B.A.Sc. from the University of Toronto (engineering) and M.A. from H.U.F.S (Korea).


Sasha Mirchandani

Sasha Mirchandani is Senior Investment Director with BRV India. He joined the firm in 2007 and is based in Mumbai. He focuses on consumer internet, mobile, media, entertainment and knowledge process outsourcing.

He is responsible for building the BlueRun Ventures brand in India in addition to helping portfolio companies build low cost operations in India to improve capital efficiencies and to leverage BlueRun Ventures' global platform to help Indian companies to expand globally.

Prior to joining BlueRun India, Sasha was at Mirc Electronics where he was head of corporate affairs and new business. Prior to that he was CEO and Founder of Imercius Technologies, a BPO focused on the telecom space, and prior to that he founded Cocoon Ventures a early stage investment company.

Sasha sits on the board of Fractal Analytics, Algorythm, Gulita Securities, Madhouse Media, Shivaji Securities, and AsliSale.

Recently Sasha founded Mumbai Angels. This is the first time that a group of angels has come together to invest in seed stage companies in Mumbai. Some of the companies they have invested in are Mkhoj, Madhouse and Netelixer.

Sasha completed his Business Administration from University in Virginia and MMDP program at IIM, Ahmadabad. He is past president of the Bombay Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs organization. He is also an advisory board member of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International studies (SAIS) in India, Chairman Maharashtra Committee - Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), and Charter Member - TiE Mumbai.

His life mission is to play a small part in the eradication of poverty in India.



Weidong (William) Qu

Weidong (William) Qu is Investment Director with BlueRun China. He joined the firm in 2007 and is based in Beijing. William focuses on new media, wireless and consumer services investments in China. William Qu has over ten years of experience in working with start-ups, business development and investment banking.

Prior to joining BlueRun China, William served as the Director of Investment at Capinfo Company Ltd., a Hong Kong listed IT services company, providing solutions to government agencies, financial institutions and other enterprises. Previous experiences include investment banking and financial advisory in China and investment Advisory in New Zealand. William cofounded an environment protection technology company and also one of the founders of China TMT association.

He received his M.B.A. from The University of Auckland and undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Janet Zhou

Janet Zhou joins our investment team with a focus on new trends in consumer media and gaming. She is also finishing her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She currently serves on the executive committee of MIT/Stanford Venture Lab, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures, and is a member of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives.

Janet was previously a consultant for Charles River Associates, a financial and litigation consulting firm, specializing in IPO pricing and stock price manipulation. She received her Masters in Finance from the Stanford GSB and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Business Economics and Management from the California Institute of Technology during which time she served on the executive committee of ASCIT and the Caltech Y. She also holds a patent in the production of efficient photovoltaic solar cells.



Terry Zhu (Tianyu Zhu)

Tianyu (Terry) Zhu is Investment Director with BlueRun China. He joined the firm in 2009 and is based in Beijing. Terry focuses on new media, wireless and internet consumer services investments in China. Terry Zhu has over ten years of experience in venture investment, business development and management consulting.

Prior to joining BlueRun China, Terry served as Senior Investment Manager in Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU),the leading Chinese search engine company where he initiated and executed a number of strategic investments in the Internet area. Previously, Terry was a management consultant advising clients from the media and education sectors on strategy and management issues. Terry also worked as a Business Development Manager in NetEase.com (NASDAQ: NTES), a leading Chinese Internet portal where he played a multifunctional role in strategic partnerships, M&A and business incubation.

Terry received his B.S. in Economics from Shanghai JiaoTong University.
